OVERVIEW
Databook was supercharging its customer marketing through the launch of its user-community and educational content resource hub. An affiliate sub-brand framework was crafted to embody the authentic individual seller experience in a manner that only they could tell.
Take sales seriously.
The color palette for the SSN was inspired by Databook's core intention of clear communication with an added sense of range and expression.
Illustrations showing common strategic decisions and performative feats played on the sentiments we'd heard in our research phase - sales ain't easy, great sellers make it look that way.
Wayfinding was key to helping our audiences uniquely path through our community activities and deep content library. Custom iconography and key color assignments were developed to keep things engaging and organized.
A series of badges were developed to support activity gamification and community engagement achievements. We drew inspiration from classic board game components like Mahjong and Azul to capture the tactile tradeability and competitive edge in sales.
New user activities and educational content were published on a daily basis. A graphic component library and template system was developed to keep pace with the creative demand while maintaining the wayfinding and abstract expression of the visual language.
Promotional campaign concepts and content headlines were inspired by sales pop culture references - twisting the toxic notion of sales on its head, tieing closer to the modern collaborative mindset. Coffee is for closers...how about
Coffee is for Collaborators
Founding members were celebrated as part of a large scale campaign designed to promote their involvement and raise their social clout outside of the community. Founders shared their status in their personal networks - driving interest and new signups through direct referrals.
Our content was heavily influenced through 1st party reasearch and feedback analysis. Data was at the core of our communication language - we designed a visual system to communicate our data findings that fit directly within the core brand's expansive color palette.
